Good value and amenities but could be better food & drink

Good variety of pools and bonus points for hot tubs at both connected properties for those of us who don't like cold water. Drawback was only 1 bar for a large pool area that had several pools and a ton of people. Line can be long to get a beverage. Only Dos Equis beer available so leave your microbrew tastes at home.

Buffet was packed with filler foods including lots of potatoes, rice, noodles and mac and cheese. Not good choices if you want meat, fish or chicken. Not much seafood on the restaurants that required reservations and the better cuts of meat or seafood cost extra, so not really "all inclusive" unless you want mid-range food. App was tricky to find. Shower didn't have cold water but staff was good and quickly switched us to properly working room. No elevator in one of the buildings so if you party too hard, your walk to the 4th or 5th floor could get tricky. Hot tub and pool bars only open until 7pm so no late night partying here.

GREAT FOR A SHORT STAY

Our stay at this resort was very enjoyable. There were plenty of activities to do, and the buffet offered a great selection of food. Our room was comfortable, but the showers lacked hot water—it was either cold or, at best, lukewarm. The bathrooms in the hotel definitely need more attention, but overall, everything else was great.

Excellent cost benefit

The staff is wonderful, always helpful and in a well mood. The pools are nice, my kids loved it. The breakfast is good and the lunch/dinner buffet are good. The restaurant where you need reservations are fantastic, including the kids menu. The drinks are good, cold beer, wines are good, the drinks are well done. It is 15 min from the airport, and very close to the Playa Delfinos. There is a Kids club that my children loved.

Air conditioner in the bedroom is noisy. Pressure of the water in the bedroom varies a lot, so it is difficult to control the temperature.

The front desk staff is top tier! Pool serving staff is hilarious- the beach was beautiful . Long stretch of beach for Long Beach walks!!!

Food options are not awesome and I’m not that picky of an eater - didn’t really feel like all inclusive

Ended up with a room in sister hotel next door, Royal Solaris as Caribe couldnt supply my roompreferences. Change done seamlessly and room was exceptional. Staff super friendly

Good stay but many things to improve.

The property in general is good and everything felt very clean honestly which is our main priority. We liked the fact that you can use both hotels facilities Caribe and Royal. Las Fuentes buffet was very good for dinner and Cafe Solaris for breakfast. Fruit and natural juices were super fresh and delicious. Food in general was good. The front desk ladies were very nice especially Naomi. The rooms are very spacious. Ours was 2 king beds with a living room. You also have flat Samsung TV , mini bar, iron. Everything you need. For us , reservations for restaurants was not an issue since we mostly preferred buffet for more food options and easier for picky eaters but when we tried to make one there were enough options of time to pick from and we checked around 12pm (probably we were in luck) . Overall the hotel was good and we enjoyed our stay

What we dislike the most was the alcoholic beverages quality!! Cocktails were not good. They can improve a lottt!! Also, the service by the pool was awful. None of the times we were there, a single person asked if we needed anything. If we wanted a drink, we had to leave the pool and go to the bar and get it. Then it felt like you were bothering them. Royal Solaris pool area had a bar in the pool but that pool was always packed and it also closed around the same time. Obviously the treatment was not the same for everyone! It really depend on your Nationality ????????. They always asked you where are you visiting from and based on that, they’ll treat you. Don’t expect to get service on the beach. If you want a drink on the beach, you have to go to the bar and get it yourself. The thing is that there is like 3 sets of stairs from the beach to the pool bar. I highly recommend you to bring your own yeti or whatever is your choice. Drinks will last you way longer especially if you planned to go to the beach. The pool and bar closes very early. By 5:30pm bar is closed and by 6:30pm Pool is closed. After that, if you want drinks, you have to go to the lobby bar and get drinks but it’s not super closed and by the time you do that twice you’ll be sick and tired . Thank god they have two big jacuzzis to be there longer.Remember, Zona Hotelera beach is not the best. If your expecting no waves or seaweed, your going to the wrong place. You’ll find mostly red flags and just few yellow ones (I knew this tho). Our room was 2250 which is just right beside Cafe Solaris and partial view to the pool. If you are a light sleeper, then Ya it won’t work for you since you will listen to the people going to the buffet and lobby or the noise from the pool. For us wasn’t a problem tho since we were so tired , it didn’t bother us. Customer service can improve a lot especially on providing the same attention to everyone and not just to the people they think will give them tips.

Nice place, reasonably priced but can be noisy at times.

Building design & fittings are attractive. Staff are very pleasant and mostly helpful.

Cannot swim in the sea. A massive disappointment. Understandable, but for a beach holiday it is a shame that you have to leave the property to find a beach for swimming. Also, there was a lot of refurbishment going on while we were there. Again, understandable but disappointing.

April at the GR Caribe Cancun

We loved our room. It was spacious and interesting and very comfortable. The wait staff in all the restaurants and bars was wonderful! The old world atmosphere was so appealing. The food was always presented exceptionally, but some restaurants really excelled for my personal tastes. Bogavante and Veneto were exceptional. We preferred breakfast at Royal Solaris over Cafe Solaris at Caribe. We also preferred the pool area at Royal Solaris - many more pool options and available seating options.

There were things that weren't spelled out very well on the website. You have to make dinner reservations on the app. But the app is inconsistently available as is the wifi. You also can only have 1 active reservation at a time. So I could not make dinner reservations for all of the 3 nights we stayed. They do allow a waitlist of you want to take your chances and just show up at the restaurant. Their is also a $5 surcharge for room service. It's not a deal breaker, of course, but it's not fully disclosed up front. The pool area at Caribe was difficult to get seating because people would claim their chairs with towels by 7am and then not occupy their chairs for much of the day. We're not sure of the role of the concierge as he wasn't able to help us with restaurant reservations, the glitches with the app or arranging transportation. We had to walk over to guest services at Royal Solaris in order to make them understand that no menus were showing for any of the restaurants. The guest services rep sent printed menus to our room eventually. We ended up having to arrange our own transportation to the airport.

A very good and family friendly all inclusive

The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and there was plenty of variety. Family friendly.

The beach is very rocky and there were red flags nearly every day we were there. Not the fault of the hotel but it took away from the overall experience.
